Each spring, 30 rising sophomores (current freshmen who will be sophomores next semester) will be selected for membership in the Presidential Leadership Academy. Students admitted into the Academy will be drawn from across the University.
Selection will be based on a student's academic achievements, leadership potential, and commitment to critical thinking exhibited during the applicant's first year at Penn State. A select group of applicants will be contacted for personal interviews with the Academy selection committee.
Penn State faculty and staff may nominate students for membership in the Academy. Nomination is not required for students to apply. Nominations count as an applicant's academic reference.
Deadline for applications is Friday, February 28, 2014.

Information sessions will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 and Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 4 PM in C9 Atherton Hall.
